Shifen Waterfall

Shifen Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls in Taiwan and some have dubbed it the Niagra Falls of Taiwan.  Shifen is easily reached by train on the Pingxi line.   From the train station at Shifen’s old street the waterfall is a bit of a hike.  If you don’t want to make the walk, there are an abundance of taxis waiting there to make your life easier.  This was my second visit to the waterfall.  The good news is that now it is free, as I recall the last time they charges $80 NTD.  The viewing area has also been improved.  In addition to the big water fall there are 2 smaller ones.  Check out my photos.
