Yingge Ceramics Museum 2

This is my second blog regarding the Yingge Ceramics Museum. The Yingge Ceramics Museum has really opened my eyes to the artistic possibilities of ceramics. Check out my previous blog to see some incredible videos that I took on my last trip.

For this blog I made a video based on two different exhibits that I saw on Sunday November 30, 2014. The first part involves creative imagination regarding vessels such as what is a vessel and what does it contain. Through an artistic collaboration using alternative mediums such as music, video, lights the possibilities are extended beyond what I would have ever dreamed that ceramic art could be. Sounds hidden and magnified through vessels.

The second part of the video is part of the Riverbed Theater video. The body is considered the vessel of a soul. When a soul is overwhelmed by sentiments and thoughts and feels lost in life what may happen? Visual artists contemplate the blurred lines of internal and external, order and disorder, dreams and reality joy and sorrow.

Check the video out, it is ceramic art like you never experienced before.
