Taipei Astronomical Museum

The Taipei Astronomical Museum is a short walk from the Shilin MRT Station on the red line.  They are open 9-5 and closed on Monday.  Entrance to the exhibits is $40 NTD,  IMAX Theater is $100 NTD per movie and there are several.  There is also a “space ride” for an additional fee.

I may have been the only adult  there but I found some of the exhibits interesting…but almost no English. The IMAX theater was nice and the price is reasonable.  When you go in look for the blue seats, the top 3 rows are blue.  These seats have head sets in the arm rest and you can listen to the movie in English.

There are a lot of things to do in the area so the the museum doesn’t have to be a stand alone event.
