Guguan – Lishan Scenic Area

Guguan is in the Lishan Scenic Area.  I was on a day bus tour and one of the stops was Guguan.  We only had 90 minutes there but it was well spent.  First there is the Guguan Visitor Center.  At the visitor center they have a nice exhibit explaining the different types of hot springs in Taiwan.  They also have a spring fed pool designed to soak your feet, all free.  A very short distance from the visitor center is a pedestrian suspension bridge.  On the other side of the bridge is the entrance to a hiking trail that can be completed in 1 hour.  Nothing so exciting about the trail but if you had more time it connects to another trail that sounded challenging and they even had a bear warning sign.
