Pinglin Tea Museum

The Pinglin Tea Museum is located in Pinglin.  You can get there by bus from the Xindian MRT Station.  There are 2 buses that go there, the 923 and the GR-12. The 923 is faster and takes an express route.  The GR-12 takes local roads and is very scenic.  The last stop for both buses is the same and is just a short walk from the Museum.

The Museum looks brand new is English friendly and free.  There is a main floor and a basement so make sure that you go down stairs to see it all.  I found the exhibits to be interesting and presented nicely.  Outside there is a garden, a relaxation area and some scenic look out points.

I heard about “tea-infused dishes that hit the spot” sold in Pinglin.  If you want to eat the special tea infused foods in Pinglin go on the weekend.  I was there on a Thursday and wanted to try some tea leaf mochi and had difficulty finding it.  Weekends they gear up for tourists.
